The design of an independent expert advisory mechanism under the European Climate Law: what are the options?

Scientific communities and expertise play a key in the design and follow-up of climate action agendas at the global and the EU level. SDG 13.2 promotes climate change measures into national policies. The aim of this report is to inform the debate on the need for, and the design of, an independent expert advisory mechanism under the European Climate Law, based on experiences with the implementation of national climate change legislation (SDG 7).
